Grapevine

Grapes, Vitis vinifera, have been grown in Sardinia for millennia. Indeed, the Island is home to the oldest known grapevine in the Mediterranean. Many researchers credit this ancient wine culture for helping make Sardinians some of the longest living people on earth.

Grape seeds and their oil are well-known to contain high levels of antioxidants. Rich in Omega 6 with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and brightening properties, grape seed oil is ideal for use in both cosmetic and culinary products.

Grapevines can be found all throughout the island of Sardinia, including many native species such as the Carignano, Cannonau, Nuragus and Monica seeds from which our oil is made.
